Description
The Brocade BR-X68GEN5ICLKIT-2KM-01 Gen 5 2-km ICL POD Kit enables high-performance inter-chassis connectivity for Brocade X6-8 Directors, providing 16 UltraScale Inter-Chassis Link (ICL) ports and eight 4 × 16 G QSFP long-wave (LWL) optics.
Designed for linking Gen 6 X6-8 Directors to Gen 5 DCX 8510 chassis across extended distances, this kit delivers up to 2 km reach at 4×16 Gbps Fibre Channel speeds.
Each kit includes a single ICL Ports-on-Demand license and eight LC-connector QSFP transceivers, enabling 8 ICL ports per core routing blade (16 ports per chassis). The unified design allows licensed ports to be populated with 100 m or 2 km ICL optics as needed for scalable fabric deployment.
Ideal for enterprise data centers, the BR-X68GEN5ICLKIT-2KM-01 reduces ISL cabling by up to 75%, lowers latency via core-blade interconnects, and supports fabric expansion in core/edge or mesh topologies with robust performance and reliability.
