Operating at a 1490nm transmit wavelength, this module enables bidirectional data transmission over a single strand of single-mode fiber, delivering reliable performance at distances of up to 40 kilometers.
Built for industrial environments, the GLC-BX40-DA-I supports extended temperature ranges and includes Digital Optical Monitoring (DOM) for real-time visibility into optical power levels, temperature, and transceiver health. It is ideal for service provider networks, enterprise backbones, and industrial deployments where long-reach, space-efficient fiber connectivity is required. This module is intended to be paired with a compatible BX40 upstream SFP to complete the bidirectional link.
