The Cisco GLC-BX80-D-I is a 1000BASE-BX80 downstream SFP transceiver designed for long-distance, single-fiber Gigabit Ethernet connectivity. Operating at a 1570nm wavelength, this industrial-grade module supports bidirectional communication over a single strand of single-mode fiber at distances of up to 80 km when paired with the corresponding BX80-U module. Built for harsh environments, it features an extended industrial temperature range and supports Digital Optical Monitoring (DOM) for real-time visibility into optical performance.
