The Cisco GLC-GE-DR-LX is a dual-rate Small Form-Factor Pluggable (SFP) transceiver designed to support both 100 Mbps and 1 Gbps Ethernet connectivity over single-mode fiber. Operating at a 1310 nm wavelength, this module enables reliable long-reach fiber links of up to 10 km, making it ideal for enterprise networks, service provider environments, and campus backbones.
Engineered for flexibility, the GLC-GE-DR-LX supports seamless interoperability with IEEE 100BASE-LX and 1000BASE-LX/LH standards. Its hot-swappable SFP form factor allows easy installation and replacement without network downtime. Built-in Digital Optical Monitoring (DOM) provides real-time visibility into optical performance, helping administrators maintain optimal link health and reliability.
