Description
The Brocade XBR-000258 is a 16 Gbps Fibre Channel SFP+ Extended Long Wavelength (ELWL) transceiver module designed for high-performance SAN and data-center connectivity over long distances.
Engineered for Brocade Gen 5 and Gen 6 Fibre Channel switches—including models such as Brocade DCX 8510, 6520, 6510, and 6505—this optic enables reliable 16G FC transmission up to 25 km over single-mode fiber (SMF) using a 1310 nm laser.
Each module is hot-pluggable, compliant with SFP+ MSA and FC-PI-5 standards, and rigorously tested for interoperability within Brocade environments.
Ideal for mission-critical storage networking, it provides the long-reach fiber connectivity required for disaster recovery links, data-center interconnects, and enterprise backbone networks.
