Description
The Cisco NIM-2FXS/4FXOP is a high-density analog voice Network Interface Module designed for Cisco 4000 Series Integrated Services Routers. This combo module delivers flexible voice connectivity by combining two FXS ports and four FXO ports in a single NIM, enabling seamless integration of analog phones, fax machines, PBX systems, and PSTN lines.
Equipped with an onboard digital signal processor (DSP), the NIM-2FXS/4FXOP supports enterprise-grade voice features without requiring additional router-based voice DSP resources. It enables advanced voice services such as caller ID, echo cancellation, fax and modem pass-through, and multiple voice codec support. Hot-swappable design with online insertion and removal (OIR) ensures minimal downtime during upgrades or replacements.
