The Cisco NIM-2BRI-S/T is a 2-port ISDN Basic Rate Interface (BRI) S/T network interface module designed for Cisco Integrated Services Routers. It enables reliable connectivity to legacy ISDN networks, making it ideal for organizations that require dial backup, primary ISDN WAN access, or hybrid WAN deployments.
Each BRI port supports two 64 kbps B-channels, allowing bandwidth aggregation using Multilink Point-to-Point Protocol (MLPPP) for increased throughput and resiliency. The module integrates seamlessly into supported Cisco ISR platforms and supports hot-swap installation, minimizing downtime during upgrades or maintenance.
