The Chief CMS492CP2 is a plenum-rated 2' × 2' ceiling storage box designed to discreetly conceal AV equipment above a standard ceiling tile while supporting a 1.5" NPT column drop for projector installations within the same tile grid. This integrated design delivers a clean, professional ceiling appearance ideal for classrooms, conference rooms, and corporate AV environments.
The enclosure includes a high-performance dual-gang power housing with isolated ground and dual receptacle outlets. Power protection is provided by the SurgeX non-sacrificial, multi-stage filtration and surge suppression system, safeguarding connected equipment from high-frequency electrical noise and power disturbances without degradation over time.
Chief powered solutions are co-developed with SurgeX, a brand of AMETEK Electronic Systems Protection, ensuring enterprise-grade reliability for mission-critical AV installations.
