The Cisco NCS2K-20-SMRFS-CV is a high-density, single-slot ROADM line card designed for scalable and agile DWDM optical networks. It integrates twin wavelength-selective switches (WSS) with switchable-gain pre-amplification and booster amplification, delivering exceptional flexibility for multi-degree ROADM architectures.

This 20-port Flex Spectrum ROADM supports colorless, contentionless, omnidirectional, and flex-grid (CCOFS) functionality, enabling fully software-defined wavelength routing and rapid network reconfiguration. The built-in connectivity verification feature ensures accurate fiber mapping and insertion-loss validation, reducing installation errors and accelerating node turn-up in complex mesh networks.
