Description
The Edgecore AS7712-32X is a high-performance, open-networking Top-of-Rack (TOR) or spine switch designed for modern data centers requiring high density and flexibility. Equipped with the Broadcom Tomahawk switch ASIC and an Intel Atom CPU, this 1RU switch provides line-rate Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching across 32 x QSFP28 ports, supporting a wide range of connection options — up to 32 x 100GbE, 64 x 50GbE, or 128 x 10/25GbE via breakout cables.
Built for scalability and reliability, the AS7712-32X includes dual hot-swappable AC power supplies, 5+1 redundant fan modules, and power-to-port airflow for efficient cooling. The switch supports ONIE (Open Network Install Environment), giving users the flexibility to deploy their choice of network operating system (NOS). Its modular design, full front-access connectivity, and redundant hardware components make it ideal for hyperscale cloud, enterprise, and service provider data centers.
