Description

The Edgecore AS7712-32X is a high-performance Top-of-Rack (ToR) and spine switch purpose-built for modern data centers. This open networking switch delivers full line-rate Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching across 32 QSFP28 ports, each supporting 40/100 GbE or breakout options for 2× 50 GbE and 4× 10/25 GbE.

Powered by the Broadcom BCM56960 Tomahawk ASIC and an Intel Atom C2538 quad-core processor, the AS7712-32X offers 3.2 Tbps switching capacity and 4.7 Bpps forwarding performance in a compact 1RU design. Its dual hot-swappable AC PSUs with port-to-power airflow ensure redundancy and efficient cooling for UK deployments.

Pre-loaded with the Open Network Install Environment (ONIE), this bare-metal platform enables installation of open-source and commercial Network Operating Systems (NOS), including Open Network Linux, Cumulus Linux, OpenSwitch, PicOS, and Big Switch Networks’ Switch Light OS.

Ideal for hyperscale, enterprise, and cloud environments, the Edgecore AS7712-32X delivers flexible, cost-effective, and vendor-agnostic networking with robust energy efficiency and OCP-accepted hardware design.
