The Edgecore AS6712-32X is a high-performance Top-of-Rack (TOR) or spine switch designed for modern data centers requiring efficient Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching. Housed in a compact 1RU form factor, it delivers line-rate 1.28 Tbps throughput across 32 QSFP+ ports, each supporting 40GbE or 4x10GbE breakout configurations.

Built as a bare-metal platform, the AS6712-32X comes preloaded with ONIE (Open Network Install Environment), allowing seamless installation of open-source or commercial Network Operating Systems (NOS) such as Cumulus Linux, Open Network Linux, OpenSwitch, PicOS, Big Switch Switch Light, SnapRoute FlexSwitch, and Pluribus Netvisor.

The switch features dual hot-swappable, load-sharing AC power supplies, 4+1 redundant fans, and port-to-power airflow for reliable cooling in hot/cold aisle environments. With UK power compatibility, energy efficiency (227W typical), and TAA compliance, it’s an ideal solution for scalable, open data center deployments.
