The Edgecore AS7512-32X is a high-performance Top-of-Rack (TOR) or spine switch designed for modern data centers that demand massive throughput and scalability. Housed in a compact 1RU form factor, it provides line-rate Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching across 32 QSFP28 ports, supporting up to 32 × 100 GbE, 64 × 50 GbE, or 128 × 25 GbE/10 GbE connections via breakout cables.
Built with the Cavium Xpliant CNX88091 3.2 Tbps switch silicon and powered by an Intel Atom C2538 quad-core CPU, the AS7512-32X delivers ultra-low-latency performance (600 ns) and exceptional flexibility. The system includes dual hot-swappable AC PSUs and 5 + 1 redundant fans with power-to-port airflow, ensuring reliable operation in diverse deployment environments.
Pre-loaded with the Open Network Install Environment (ONIE), this bare-metal switch supports a range of open-source and commercial Network Operating Systems (NOS), including Open Network Linux, OpenSwitch, and PicOS™ (future release)—making it ideal for operators embracing Open Networking architectures.
