Description
The Edgecore AS5916-54XM is a high-performance 10GbE/100GbE aggregation router designed for carrier access, data center, and cloud infrastructure deployments. Powered by the Broadcom StrataDNX® Qumran MX™ ASIC and an Intel® Xeon® D-1518 quad-core CPU, it delivers up to 800 Gbps switching capacity and 720 Mpps throughput in a compact 1RU form factor.
This deep-packet buffer platform supports 48 × SFP+ ports for 10 GbE or 1 GbE connections and 6 × QSFP28 uplinks for 40 GbE/100 GbE aggregation. It includes IEEE 802.1AE MACsec encryption, ensuring secure and reliable transmission for enterprise and service provider networks.
With dual hot-swappable AC power supplies, 5 + 1 redundant fan modules, and port-to-power airflow, the AS5916-54XM offers resilient performance and easy serviceability. Pre-loaded with ONIE, it supports open-source and commercial network operating systems, enabling flexible deployment in open networking environments.
