Description
The Edgecore AS5812-54X-O-12V-B is a high-performance open network switch designed for top-of-rack (TOR) and spine deployments in enterprise or cloud data centers. It delivers line-rate Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching across 48 × 10GbE SFP+ ports and 6 × 40GbE QSFP+ uplinks, enabling non-blocking connectivity in compact 1RU form.
Built on Broadcom Trident II+ silicon and powered by an Intel Atom C2538 quad-core 2.4 GHz CPU, the switch offers superior throughput and virtualization support, including VXLAN and NVGRE tunneling in hardware. The AS5812-54X-O-12V-B features hot-swappable fan modules and a 12 V DC power input with back-to-front airflow, making it ideal for DC power environments or Open Compute racks.
Pre-loaded with the Open Network Install Environment (ONIE), it supports a wide range of open-source and commercial network operating systems (NOS), offering complete flexibility for disaggregated networking architectures.
