Description
The Edgecore AS5712-54X is a high-performance 10 GbE Top-of-Rack or spine switch designed for modern cloud and enterprise data centers. It delivers line-rate Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching across 48 SFP+ ports and 6 QSFP uplinks, providing up to 720 Gbps switching capacity in a compact 1RU form factor.
Powered by the Intel Atom C2538 quad-core 2.4 GHz CPU, the AS5712-54X supports redundant, hot-swappable -48 VDC power supplies and 4+1 redundant fan modules with port-to-power airflow, ensuring continuous operation and thermal efficiency in high-density environments.
Pre-loaded with the Open Network Install Environment (ONIE), the switch enables automated deployment of open-source or commercial network operating systems such as Cumulus Linux®, Open Network Linux, OpenSwitch, PicOS™, Pluribus Netvisor, and SnapRoute FlexSwitch.
Ideal for virtualized and software-defined data centers, the AS5712-54X provides VXLAN and NVGRE tunneling in hardware, empowering scalable network virtualization and seamless integration with SDN architectures.
