Description

The Edgecore AS5812-54X is a high-performance Top-of-Rack (ToR) or spine switch designed for modern enterprise and cloud data centers. This open-network platform delivers full line-rate Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching across 48 × 10 GbE SFP+ ports and 6 × 40 GbE QSFP+ uplinks — enabling flexible aggregation or fabric configurations.

Built for scalability and resiliency, it includes dual hot-swappable AC power supplies, 4+1 redundant fans, and front-to-back airflow optimized for hot/cold aisle deployments. The AS5812-54X supports VXLAN and NVGRE tunneling in hardware, making it ideal for virtualized environments and software-defined networks.

Pre-loaded with the Open Network Install Environment (ONIE), the switch enables seamless installation of compatible open-source or commercial network operating systems, giving operators maximum flexibility and control.
