The Cisco NCS2K-9-SMR24FS-L is a 9-port Single Module ROADM line card designed for agile, high-capacity DWDM optical networks. Featuring a fixed 12–24 dB gain range, this Flex Spectrum–enabled module integrates wavelength selective switching with pre- and booster amplification in a compact single-slot form factor.
Built to support colorless, contentionless, omnidirectional, and flex spectrum (CCOFS) architectures, this licensed ROADM enables fully software-driven wavelength routing, add/drop, and restoration without manual fiber moves. It supports dynamic spectrum allocation for advanced modulation formats and superchannels, helping operators maximize fiber efficiency and network scalability.
Ideal for multi-degree ROADM nodes, the NCS2K-9-SMR24FS-L reduces footprint, simplifies cabling, and improves optical performance by minimizing insertion loss and preserving OSNR.
