Description

The Synology ActiveProtect DP320 is a compact, cyber-resilient data protection appliance designed for small and medium-sized environments that demand centralized, reliable, and secure backup operations. Pre-configured with ActiveProtect Manager, it provides end-to-end data management—from backup and restore to replication and deduplication—while minimizing setup time through automated RAID and disk configurations.

With built-in immutability, air-gapped backups, and WORM storage, the DP320 defends against ransomware and unauthorized data modification. It supports diverse workloads, including VMware, Hyper-V, Microsoft 365, macOS, Linux, Oracle, SQL Server, and Nutanix Files, allowing flexible policy-based protection. Its self-healing Btrfs file system detects and repairs silent data corruption, ensuring recovery integrity, while backup verification in sandboxed environments enables non-disruptive DR testing.

Optimized by source-side global deduplication and a specialized backup engine, the DP320 reduces bandwidth and storage usage, improving efficiency and resilience. Designed on a least-privilege architecture with advanced authentication, firewall segmentation, and isolation controls, it offers robust protection and compliance for critical workloads—all within an easy-to-deploy desktop form factor.
