The AddOn Cisco® QSFP-40G-ER4-AO is a high-performance, hot-swappable 40GBase-ER4 QSFP+ transceiver designed for reliable, long-distance data transmission over single-mode fiber (SMF). Operating across wavelengths from 1270 nm to 1330 nm, this transceiver supports distances up to 40 km via a duplex LC connector, making it ideal for large-scale enterprise networks, data centers, and carrier aggregation deployments.
Engineered for seamless interoperability, it is 100% compatible with Cisco® QSFP-40G-ER4 modules and meets SFF-8436 standards. Each unit is uniquely serialized, rigorously tested for data traffic and application performance, and includes Digital Optical Monitoring (DOM) to provide real-time diagnostics on optical power, temperature, and voltage. With RoHS compliance, robust ESD protection, and a compact, hot-pluggable design, the QSFP-40G-ER4-AO offers a cost-effective and reliable solution for high-speed 40 GbE connectivity.
