The HPE Aruba 7240XMDC (EG) Mobility Controller is a high-performance, DC-powered network management device engineered for dense enterprise WLAN environments. As part of the Aruba 7200 Series, it provides centralized control for Aruba access points, enabling optimal AP utilization, seamless roaming, and unified policy enforcement for both wired and wireless networks via Aruba's Policy Enforcement Firewall (PEF).
Featuring 4 high-speed 10GbE SFP+ ports and dual personality ports (10/100/1000BASE-T or SFP), the 7240XMDC is purpose-built for large and midsize campuses. It supports Dynamic Segmentation, advanced deep packet inspection, and can be repurposed as an SD-WAN gateway for streamlined WAN connectivity. It also integrates with Aruba ClearPass for comprehensive policy management and visibility into thousands of applications without requiring additional hardware.
Deployed standalone or within a Mobility Master-managed cluster, the 7240XMDC supports live upgrades, robust failover, and simplified site-wide configurations, ensuring high availability and mission-critical performance.
