The Edge-core AS5916-54XKS-O-AC-F is a high-performance 10G/100G edge router and switch built on Broadcom’s StrataDNX™ Qumran MX silicon, providing up to 800 Gbps switching capacity and 700 Mpps forwarding rate. Designed for demanding cloud data centers and carrier-grade networks, it delivers flexible deployment as a top-of-rack switch, carrier access/aggregation switch, or edge router.
This bare-metal system supports open networking, shipped with ONIE (Open Network Install Environment), and is compatible with leading NOS platforms such as Open Network Linux (ONL), IP Infusion OcNOS, and Cisco IOS XR. It includes redundant, hot-swappable dual AC power supplies, 5+1 fan modules, and port-to-power airflow, ensuring carrier-class reliability and simplified maintenance.
