Description

The Edgecore AS5916-54XL (5916-54XL-OT-48V-F) is a high-performance open aggregation router built for data centers, telecommunication networks, and cloud service providers. Based on Broadcom’s StrataDNX® Qumran MX™ silicon, this router delivers 800 Gbps switching capacity and 700 Mpps forwarding performance, providing exceptional scalability and efficiency for Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching.

Designed for maximum reliability, the AS5916-54XL includes dual 48 VDC hot-swappable power supplies and 5+1 redundant fans with front-to-back airflow to ensure continuous operation and simplified maintenance. It offers 48 SFP+ ports supporting 1G/10G and 6 QSFP28 uplink ports supporting 40G/100G, making it ideal for top-of-rack or carrier aggregation deployments.

Powered by an Intel® Xeon® D-1518 2.2 GHz CPU, 16 GB DDR4 memory, and 128 GB SSD storage, the AS5916-54XL supports Open Network Install Environment (ONIE) and is compatible with Open Network Linux (ONL), providing flexibility to load preferred network operating systems.

Whether used in large-scale cloud environments or service provider infrastructure, the Edgecore AS5916-54XL ensures high availability, open programmability, and performance-driven networking.
