The Edgecore AS7716-24SC 100GbE Coherent Switch (SKU: 7716-24SC-O-AC-F) is a high-capacity open network platform designed for metro, long-haul, and data-center interconnect applications. Powered by Broadcom StrataXGS™ Tomahawk™ Plus silicon and an Intel® Xeon® D-1518 4-Core CPU, it delivers 3.2 Tbps switching capacity in a compact 1.5RU form factor.

This Cassini-series packet transponder combines switching and optical transport in one flexible system—supporting 16 fixed 100 GbE QSFP28 ports plus 8 line-card slots for a mix of 200 GbE or DCO optical ports. It supports MACsec encryption, automated L1 transport monitoring, and is pre-loaded with Open Network Install Environment (ONIE) for seamless NOS deployment.

With redundant fans and dual hot-swappable AC PSUs, the AS7716-24SC ensures long-life reliability and efficient front-to-back airflow for data centers and telecom racks.
