The Edge-Core DCS500 AS7816-64X-O-48V-B-R is a high-performance, open-network data center switch designed for top-of-rack (TOR) or spine deployments in modern high-density environments. Equipped with 64 Γ— QSFP28 ports supporting 100 GbE and 40 GbE, or breakout to 4 Γ— 25 GbE or 4 Γ— 10 GbE, it delivers exceptional flexibility and scalability for next-generation data center fabrics.

Powered by Broadcom StrataXGS Tomahawk II silicon, the DCS500 provides 12.8 Tbps non-blocking switching capacity with line-rate Layer 2 and Layer 3 performance. It integrates an Intel Xeon D-1518 quad-core 2.2 GHz CPU, dual 48 V DC PSUs, and 3 + 1 hot-swappable redundant fans with Power-to-Port airflow for efficient cooling in front-to-back data center layouts.

Pre-loaded with the Open Network Install Environment (ONIE), this open switch enables seamless deployment of compatible open-source or commercial network operating systems, providing flexibility for SDN and cloud-scale architectures.

Ideal for hyperscale, enterprise, and cloud environments, the AS7816-64X-O-48V-B-R offers high reliability, open programmability, and simplified operations for disaggregated networking.
