The Edge-Core AS7816-64X-O-AC-F-US-R is a high-performance Top-of-Rack (TOR) or spine switch built for next-generation data centers and cloud environments. Designed for maximum scalability and open networking flexibility, it supports 64 × QSFP28 ports delivering full line-rate L2/L3 switching at 100GbE, 40GbE, 25GbE, or 10GbE speeds via breakout cables.
Powered by the Broadcom StrataXGS Tomahawk II ASIC and an Intel Xeon D-1518 quad-core CPU, this switch offers 12.8 Tbps switching capacity and 9.5 bpps forwarding performance in a compact 2RU form factor. It is pre-loaded with the Open Network Install Environment (ONIE) to support installation of compatible open-source and commercial Network Operating Systems (NOS), including Open Network Linux (ONL) and SONiC.
Built for reliability and efficiency, the AS7816-64X-O-AC-F-US-R includes dual hot-swappable AC power supplies, 3+1 redundant fans, and front-to-back (port-to-power) airflow to align with modern data-center cooling architectures.
