Description

The Edgecore AS7946-74XKSB-O-48V-F is a high-performance 25GbE aggregation router engineered for telecommunications and data center applications. Built on Broadcom StrataDNX™ Qumran2C silicon and powered by an Intel® Xeon® D-1548 8-core CPU, it delivers exceptional processing capability with an external BCM16K knowledge-based processor (KBP) for advanced lookup and policy control.

With 64 x 10G/25G SFP28, 8 x 100G QSFP28, and 2 x 100G QSFP-DD interfaces, the AS7946-74XKSB supports flexible aggregation configurations, including 1G to 100G modes using breakout cables. Designed for OpenBNG, pre-aggregation, and PE router deployments, it is fully open networking–ready and ships with the Open Network Install Environment (ONIE), allowing installation of open-source and commercial Network Operating Systems (NOS).

The router is equipped with redundant, hot-swappable DC-DC power supplies, 4+1 fan modules, SyncE and IEEE 1588v2 PTP timing, and front-to-back airflow, ensuring robust reliability and efficient operation in demanding environments.
