The AddOn Cisco® SFP-16GB-DW55-40-C-AO is a high-performance, TAA-compliant 16GBase-DWDM Fibre Channel SFP+ transceiver designed to deliver reliable and efficient optical networking over long distances. Operating on the ITU-T DWDM Channel 55 (1533.47nm), this module supports data rates up to 16Gbps and provides a transmission distance of up to 40 km over single-mode fiber (SMF) using a duplex LC connector.
Engineered with a cooled EML transmitter and PIN receiver, the transceiver ensures superior optical performance and signal integrity, while Digital Optical Monitoring (DOM) enables real-time diagnostics of key operating parameters. Its hot-swappable SFP+ form factor, excellent EMI shielding, and robust ESD protection make it ideal for 8x/10x Fibre Channel, 16x Gigabit Ethernet, and metro, enterprise, and access network applications.
