The Cisco IE-3500-8U3X-E is a rugged, modular Industrial Ethernet switch designed for high-performance operational technology (OT) and edge networking environments. Built to operate reliably in harsh industrial conditions, it combines advanced Layer 2 and Layer 3 capabilities with high-density Power over Ethernet and 10-Gigabit uplinks.
This model features eight PoE/PoE+/4PPoE copper ports capable of delivering up to 480W of total PoE power, making it ideal for powering cameras, sensors, controllers, and next-generation wireless access points. Three integrated 10G SFP+ uplink ports provide high-speed aggregation and edge-to-core connectivity for bandwidth-intensive industrial applications.
