Description
The Lenovo ThinkSystem DB720S Gen 7 FC SAN Switch (7D5JA002WW) is a high-performance, enterprise-class Fibre Channel switch designed for demanding storage environments, flash infrastructure, virtualization, and NVMe workloads.
This 1U model comes with 24 active Fibre Channel ports and 24 x 32Gb SWL SFP+ transceivers, providing a ready-to-deploy foundation that can scale as storage networking requirements grow. Ports on Demand licensing allows expansion from 24 ports to as many as 64 Fibre Channel connections using supported SFP+ and SFP-DD configurations.
Built on Brocade Gen 7 technology, the DB720S provides a non-blocking architecture, high-performance Fibre Channel connectivity, advanced SAN analytics, and integrated monitoring capabilities. It supports auto-negotiating 8Gb, 16Gb, 32Gb, and 64Gb Fibre Channel speeds depending on the installed optics and connected devices.
This configuration uses port-side intake airflow, making it suitable for telecommunications and data center environments requiring this airflow orientation. Dual hot-swappable redundant power supplies provide added resiliency, while the included rail kit simplifies rack deployment.
Enterprise software capabilities include Brocade Fabric Vision, ISL Trunking, Integrated Routing, and Extended Fabric, providing powerful tools for monitoring, traffic optimization, troubleshooting, and SAN management.
