The Eaton Tripp Lite SR42UBEXP is a 42U SmartRack expandable standard-depth server rack enclosure designed for seamless integration in data center environments. Built for scalability, the SR42UBEXP serves as an expansion model for multi-cabinet bayed configurations, featuring front and rear locking doors but no side panels—ideal for hot aisle/cold aisle setups.
Engineered from cold-rolled steel with a durable powder-coated finish, this rack enclosure offers a 3500 lb (1588 kg) stationary load capacity and 2250 lb (1020 kg) rolling capacity. Adjustable vertical mounting rails accommodate equipment depths from 4 in. to 37 in., supporting all EIA-310-E compliant 19-inch equipment.
For streamlined cable management and airflow, it features vented top and open-bottom panels, toolless PDU mounting rails, and built-in grounding points. The SR42UBEXP ships fully assembled with pre-installed casters and levelers for easy deployment, and can be bayed securely with integrated tabs to create aligned rows in standard 600 mm data center layouts.
