Description

The Eaton Tripp Lite N286-400G-SR8-C is a high-performance, Cisco-compatible QSFP-DD transceiver designed for ultra-fast 400Gbps multimode fiber networking. Engineered to meet or exceed OEM specifications, this module delivers reliable short-reach connectivity for data centers, enterprise networks, and high-density switch environments.

Supporting 400GBASE-SR8 signaling over OM4 multimode fiber, the transceiver operates at an 850 nm wavelength and provides transmission distances of up to 100 meters. The rugged zinc alloy housing enhances thermal performance while protecting against electromagnetic interference, ensuring stable operation in demanding environments.

This hot-swappable QSFP-DD module allows for seamless installation without network downtime and features a 16-fiber MPO/APC connector optimized for high-bandwidth parallel optics. Digital Diagnostic Monitoring (DDM) support enables real-time visibility into temperature, voltage, and optical power levels, helping maintain optimal network performance.

Functionally equivalent to the Cisco 400GBASE-SR8 transceiver, the N286-400G-SR8-C is fully compatible with supported Cisco switches, servers, and routers, making it a cost-effective and dependable choice for modern 400G infrastructure deployments.
