Description
The Edgecore AS5835-54X-O-AC-B-US is a high-performance, open-network data center switch designed for modern cloud and enterprise environments. Delivering 2.56 Tbps switching capacity with 48×10 GbE SFP+ ports and 6×100 GbE QSFP28 uplinks, it supports full line-rate Layer 2/3 switching and can operate as a Top-of-Rack or spine switch in a non-blocking folded-Clos fabric.
Built with the Broadcom Trident III BCM56771 ASIC and an Intel Atom C3558 quad-core processor, the switch provides carrier-class reliability with dual hot-swappable AC power supplies, 4 + 1 redundant fan modules, and power-to-port airflow for efficient cooling.
Pre-loaded with the Open Network Install Environment (ONIE), the AS5835-54X enables users to flexibly deploy open-source or commercial network operating systems (NOS), such as SONiC, OcNOS, or Open Switch. It also supports VXLAN and NVGRE tunneling in hardware, making it an ideal platform for large-scale, virtualized data center fabrics.
