Description
The Extreme Networks ExtremeSwitching X465-24MU-B1 is a high-performance, enterprise-class stackable Ethernet switch engineered for next-generation edge and wiring closet deployments. Designed to support modern digital infrastructure, it delivers multi-rate Gigabit connectivity, advanced Layer 2 and Layer 3 capabilities, and high-speed stacking for scalable, resilient networks.
Powered by ExtremeXOS, the X465-24MU enables intelligent switching, robust security, and operational simplicity across distributed environments. With support for 1G, 2.5G, and 5G multi-rate ports, it is optimized for high-density Wi-Fi 6 access points, IoT devices, and bandwidth-intensive applications.
The platform supports advanced PoE capabilities, including IEEE 802.3at and 802.3bt standards, enabling it to power demanding edge devices such as PTZ cameras, access points, and smart building systems. Features like Perpetual PoE and Fast PoE ensure uninterrupted power delivery and faster device startup.
With SummitStack-V160 technology, up to eight switches can be stacked with 160 Gbps bandwidth, simplifying management and increasing scalability. The X465 also supports Extreme’s Extended Edge Switching, enabling centralized control of edge devices and reducing operational complexity.
Built with an x86-based architecture, the switch supports Extreme’s Insight Architecture, allowing organizations to deploy guest virtual machines for advanced analytics, monitoring, and troubleshooting without impacting network performance.
