Description
The Brocade XBR-000164 is an 8 Gb Fibre Channel short-wave (SWL) SFP+ transceiver module, supplied as an 8-pack, designed for use with Brocade Gen 5 and Gen 6 Fibre Channel switches, including models such as G620, G630, 6510, 6505, and DCX 8510.
It delivers high-speed, reliable optical connectivity over multi-mode fiber (MMF) up to 150 m at OM4 or 300 m at OM3, supporting mission-critical storage-area networks (SANs) and enterprise-class data-center deployments.
Each transceiver is hot-pluggable, Class 1 laser-safe, and fully compliant with Brocade and industry SFP+ MSA standards. When paired with compatible switches, it ensures lossless data transport, low latency, and seamless integration in Fibre Channel environments.
