Description
The HPE StoreEver 1U Generic Rack Mount Kit (BC029A) provides a high-density, space-efficient solution for integrating tape drives into standard data center racks. Designed for customers with limited rack space, this 1U enclosure accommodates up to two half-height internal SAS tape drives and supports a maximum compressed capacity of up to 90 TB (2.5:1) using two HPE LTO-9 Ultrium 45000 drives.
Compatible with LTO-5 through LTO-9 Ultrium and RDX removable disk drives, the kit delivers flexible performance with data transfer rates up to 600 MB/s and top-access removable trays for simple installation. It supports both 6 Gb/sec SAS and USB 3.0 interfaces and includes AES 256-bit encryption and WORM capabilities for secure data storage and archiving.
Ideal for SAS backup environments, this rack-mount kit enables a scalable and secure solution for long-term data retention in a compact 1U form factor.
