The HPE Aruba Networking AP‑679EX (RW) is a rugged, tri-radio Wi-Fi 6E access point engineered for hazardous and extreme outdoor environments, including oil rigs, mining, and heavy industrial zones. As part of the Aruba 670EX Series, this AP complies with Class 1 Division 2 and ATEX Zone 2 certifications, ensuring safe and reliable performance where flammable gases, vapors, or dust are present.
It features built-in internal directional antennas, tri-band support (2.4GHz, 5GHz, 6GHz), and advanced IoT integration with high-power Bluetooth and Zigbee radios. With a maximum aggregate data rate of up to 3.9 Gbps, embedded GPS, and flexible 2.5 GbE and 1 GbE SFP wired connectivity, the AP-679EX delivers enterprise-grade wireless in the toughest conditions.
