The HPE Networking 12902E Main Processing Unit (JH346A) is the central control component of the HPE Networking Comware 12900E Series – a next-generation modular data center core switch designed for virtualized, cloud, and hybrid deployments. Supporting up to 768 high-speed ports and delivering up to 184 Tbps switching capacity and 92.1 Bpps throughput, this unit ensures non-blocking, wirespeed performance for the most demanding environments.

Engineered for modern data centers, the 12902E Main Processing Unit features advanced Layer 2/3 networking, low latency under 5μs, SDN-readiness, and support for VXLAN, EVPN, and DRNI. It’s compatible with H2, HB, and Type X modules and provides enterprise-class resiliency, high availability, and extensive virtualization support with MDC and IRF.
