The HPE Networking Comware 12908E Switch Chassis (JH255A) is a powerful 16-slot modular switch engineered for next-generation data center core and cloud deployments. This 12U horizontal chassis supports up to 384 1/10/40/100GbE or 192 400GbE ports, making it ideal for large-scale enterprise, cloud, and service provider environments. Built on a distributed, non-blocking Clos architecture with VOQ and large buffers, it delivers exceptional throughput and resiliency.

Designed for high availability and flexibility, the 12908E supports in-service software upgrades (ISSU), advanced Layer 2/3 protocols, SDN readiness, and modular support for multiple generations of interface cards (HB, Type X, and H2). It’s optimized for automation, virtualization, and convergence with support for VXLAN, IRF, EVPN, and FCoE.
