The HPE Smart Array E208i-a SR Gen10 is an enterprise-class storage controller designed for internal drive connectivity without using a PCIe expansion slot. Ideal for use in HPE ProLiant Gen10 servers, this modular controller delivers high-performance 12Gb/s SAS and 6Gb/s SATA connectivity across 8 internal lanes via 2 x4 Mini-SAS ports.
It supports RAID 0, 1, 5, and 10 levels, along with Mixed Mode operation, which enables simultaneous RAID and HBA functionality. This controller also features support for HPE Smart Array SR Secure Encryption (optional license), offering robust data-at-rest protection. With no onboard cache, the E208i-a SR Gen10 is an excellent cost-effective solution for systems where simplicity, efficiency, and data protection are essential.
