The AddOn IBM® 45W1218-AO is an 8-pack of 8GBase-LW Fibre Channel SFP+ transceivers, designed for high-performance data transmission over single-mode fiber (SMF) at distances up to 10km using a 1310nm wavelength via LC connectors. Each module is fully IBM® compatible, hot-swappable, and compliant with MSA standards, ensuring seamless network integration.
These TAA-compliant transceivers feature an uncooled DFB transmitter and PIN receiver, providing reliable throughput with excellent ESD protection and low EMI performance. Each unit is programmed, serialized, and rigorously tested for data traffic and applications to match or exceed OEM specifications.
