The Kramer VM-8UX is a compact, high-performance 1:8 12G-SDI distributor designed for professional broadcast workflows requiring pristine 4K signal distribution. It automatically adapts to the incoming SDI data rate, equalizes and re-clocks the signal to extend transmission distance, and delivers eight identical, ultra-stable outputs. Built with reliable lockable BNC connectors and a fanless DigiTOOLS™ enclosure, the VM-8UX ensures robust, noise-free operation in studios, production facilities, and live broadcast environments.
Engineered for long-reach SDI transmission, the VM-8UX supports up to 12Gbps, handles embedded audio and metadata, and meets key SMPTE standards for SD, HD, 3G, 6G, and 12G-SDI formats. LED indicators simplify diagnostics, and its compact size makes it easy to deploy in tight or overhead spaces.
