Description

The NVIDIA Mellanox MMA1L30-CM is a single-mode, 4-channel CWDM4 QSFP28 optical transceiver for 100 Gigabit Ethernet links of up to 2km over single-mode fiber. It is also qualified for InfiniBand EDR end-to-end systems. The module converts four 25Gb/s electrical channels into four CWDM optical signals and multiplexes them onto a single fiber at a nominal 1310nm wavelength. On the receive side, it demultiplexes the incoming signal back into four electrical channels.

The transceiver uses a duplex LC/UPC connector for a pair of single-mode fibers and supports selectable retiming as specified in SFF-8636, which allows use in both 40GbE and 100GbE applications. Digital diagnostic monitoring of temperature, supply voltage and optical power is available through the I²C management interface. Maximum power consumption is 3.5W from a single 3.3V supply.
