Description
The Cisco NCS2K-MF-DEG-5 is a passive 5-degree mesh interconnection module designed for Cisco NCS 2000 Series ROADM architectures. Built for high-density optical transport environments, this module enables interconnection of up to five ROADM line degrees and add-drop components using multifiber MPO connectivity.
Engineered for low insertion loss and high reliability, the NCS2K-MF-DEG-5 integrates optical power monitoring through built-in photodiodes, allowing operators to maintain visibility into signal performance without introducing active components. Its compact, single-slot design supports scalable network expansion while preserving space and power efficiency in metro and long-haul optical networks.
