The AddOn Q400G-4Q56G-AOC45M-AO is a high-performance, MSA-compliant 400GBase Active Optical Cable (AOC) designed for ultra-high-speed interconnects in modern data centers. Featuring a QSFP-DD to 4xQSFP56 breakout design, this active optical cable operates over multimode fiber (MMF) at 850 nm with a maximum reach of 45 m. Supporting PAM4 modulation and multi-data rates up to 56.15 Gb/s per lane, it enables efficient 400 Gbps connectivity from switches to servers, storage devices, and NIC adapters.
Built with low-latency, DSP-free CDR electronics and low-power consumption (7.6 W at the 400G end and 2.3 W at the 100G ends), this hot-pluggable AOC is fully compliant with CMIS 4.0, IEEE 802.3cm, RoHS, and TAA standards. Each unit is uniquely serialized, rigorously tested for data traffic and application performance, and backed by AddOn’s limited lifetime warranty — delivering reliability and performance at scale for next-generation Ethernet deployments.
