The AddOn Q400G-4Q56G-AOC6M-AO is a MSA and TAA compliant 400GBase active optical cable (AOC) with a QSFP-DD to 4xQSFP56 breakout configuration, designed for high-performance data center and enterprise networking applications. Operating over multi-mode fiber (MMF) with a wavelength of 850nm, this AOC provides a maximum reach of 6 meters, making it ideal for short-range, high-speed interconnects between switches, servers, storage devices, and network interface cards (NICs).
Built with PAM4 modulation and supporting multi-data rates up to 56.15 Gb/s per lane, this cable delivers superior bandwidth and reliability while maintaining low power consumption β 7.6W on the 400G end and 2.3W on each 100G end. It features DSP-free CDR electronics for minimal latency, a hot-pluggable design, and compliance with CMIS 4.0 and IEEE 802.3cm standards. Each unit is uniquely serialized, rigorously tested for interoperability, and backed by AddOnβs limited lifetime warranty.
