The Perle CM-1000-S1SC40U Managed Gigabit Media Converter Module delivers seamless copper-to-fiber connectivity for enterprise and data center networks. Designed for installation in a high-density Perle Media Converter Chassis, it converts 1000Base-T RJ45 connections to 1000Base-BX single-strand fiber (1310nm TX / 1490nm RX) with SC connectors, supporting distances up to 40 km (25 miles).
Engineered for flexible deployment, this module offers both managed and unmanaged operation modes. With features such as Auto-Negotiation, Auto-MDIX, Smart Link Pass-Through, Fiber Fault Alert, and Loopback, network administrators gain advanced visibility and troubleshooting capability.
When paired with a Media Converter Management Module, administrators can configure, monitor, and control both fiber and copper ports via SNMP, CLI, Telnet/SSH, or PerleVIEW Centralized Management Software. These enterprise-grade tools reduce on-site maintenance and provide faster fault resolution.
