The Perle CM-1000-S2SC40 Gigabit Ethernet Media Converter Managed Module is designed to extend network reach by transparently connecting copper to fiber. Installed in a high-density Perle Media Converter Chassis, it supports 1000Base-T to 1000Base-X conversion over single-mode SC fiber at 1310nm with a reach of up to 40km (24.9 miles).
Network administrators gain full visibility and control with advanced features like Auto-Negotiation, Auto-MDIX, Smart Link Pass-Through, Fiber Fault Alert, and Remote Loopback. When paired with a Media Converter Management Module, configuration and monitoring can be done via SNMP, CLI (Telnet/SSH), web browser, or PerleVIEW management software, streamlining administration and troubleshooting.
With support for jumbo frames, VLAN transparency, and enterprise-grade configuration options, the CM-1000-S2SC40 provides a cost-effective, reliable, and scalable solution for extending the life of existing network infrastructure.
