Designed for installation in Perle’s high-density Media Converter Chassis, this managed module transparently connects 1000Base-T RJ45 (copper) to 1000Base-X 1550nm single mode ST fiber over distances of up to 70km (43.5 miles).
With advanced Layer 1 and Layer 2 management features such as Auto-Negotiation, Auto-MDIX, Link Pass-Through, Fiber Fault Alert, and Loopback, IT administrators gain complete visibility and control of both copper and fiber connections. When paired with a Media Converter Management Module, configuration and monitoring are accessible via SNMP, CLI, Telnet/SSH, web browser, or PerleVIEW centralized management software.
