The Perle S-1000MM-S1SC80D is a stand-alone Gigabit Ethernet Fiber to Fiber Media Converter designed to extend 1000BASE-SX multimode fiber (850 nm, SC, up to 550 m) to 1000BASE-BX single strand single mode fiber (1590 nm TX / 1510 nm RX, SC, up to 80 km/50 miles).
Featuring advanced networking functions such as Smart Link Pass-Through, Fiber Fault Alert, and signal regeneration, this media converter ensures seamless integration and maximum reliability. IT professionals can easily extend multimode to multimode or multimode to single mode connections, with transparent support for VLANs, jumbo packets, duplex modes, and IEEE 802.3 standards.
